Final Thoughts
Sony's latest State of Play was short but highlighted some smaller and lesser-known games that may not have gotten the attention they deserve otherwise. Because this October 2021 event lacked any major AAA titles, it left some feeling underwhelmed.
With roughly 22 minutes of announcements for just 10 games, Sony may want to create another Indie-focused event similar to Nintendo's Indie World showcase to better gage the expectations of viewers and consumers. Nonetheless, it seems that 2022 is becoming more exciting and jam-packed with new PS4 and PS5 games every day.
